Ontario Cycling: link your store products to Shopify – Uplifter Inc.

Link each product and purchase option in your Uplifter Cycling store to its Shopify product and variant by entering the Shopify ID in its Foreign ID field, so store orders reach your fulfilment partner's Shopify store.

Must know

Each product and each purchase option gets its own Shopify ID. The product takes the Shopify product ID; each option, such as a size, takes its Shopify variant ID.
The ID is the number at the end of the Shopify address, after the last "/".
Use the same product name in your Uplifter Cycling store and in Shopify.
Uplifter sets up the Shopify connection itself. You only enter the IDs, while you create the products or after the store is built.
Screenshots may show an earlier version of the screens. The steps describe the current screens.

Link your store products to Shopify by copying each Shopify product ID and variant ID into the Foreign ID field of the matching product and purchase option in your Uplifter Cycling store.

Open your store
On Uplifter Cycling, open the event or club dashboard that holds the store, then open the store.
Open the product
Choose the product to link and select Manage Store Item. Scroll down to the Foreign Id field.
Find the Shopify product ID
In Shopify, open the same product. The product ID is the number at the end of its address, for example 4806546358321.
Save the product ID
Enter that number in Foreign Id on Uplifter Cycling and select Save.
Open a purchase option
Open the product’s purchase options and select View on the first one, such as a size. Find its Foreign Id field.
Find the Shopify variant ID
In Shopify, on the same product, select Edit beside the matching variant. The variant ID is the number after the last "/" in its address.
Save the variant ID
Enter it in Foreign Id on the purchase option and select Save. Repeat steps 5 to 7 for every purchase option, choosing each one from the list on the left.

When every product and option has its ID, your store products are linked to Shopify. If your fulfilment partner can’t find an order, contact Uplifter Support.
