Overview
To begin taking online payments through Uplifter your club must have a payment gateway and merchant account with Adyen. For new organizations, we recommend that this process be performed in tandem with your standard Uplifter setup and should conclude before opening your live registrations.
The Merchant Credentials tab is found by navigating to Settings > Uplifter Settings > Merchant Details. In order to access the Merchant Credentials tab you will need the following permissions: Admin, Manage System Settings, Manage Merchant Credentials.
UPDATE [Aug. 2025]
American clients can now generate Adyen accounts!
FAQs
Why switch to Adyen?
- Simplify your day-to-day operations:
- Save hours on reconciliation. Adyen’s payment reconciliation is integrated directly into Uplifter – no more logging into two separate platforms to reconcile payments, saving hours on reconciliation!
- Offer more payment methods. Using Adyen, you can accept more payment methods including Visa Debit and Mastercard Debit (plus enjoy the upcoming return of Interac Online).
- Increased fraud protections. Adyen comes with increased fraud protections to help protect payment processing for your business.
- Solve Worldline issues:
- Reduce chargebacks. Worldline DBA name issues can be solved by switching to Adyen.
- AMEX will no longer be offered on Worldline in the near-term. Make the switch to Adyen to continue accepting customer payments with AMEX.
- Uplifter will no longer support Worldline as of October 1, 2024. Make the switch to Adyen so your team can get fast, up-to-date support from Uplifter for your upcoming season.
- Don’t delay:
- Secure your rate. Create your Adyen account before July 14, 2024 at midnight to help secure your lower, grandfathered payment processing rate*. As of July 15, 2024 payment processing rates are increasing due to Mastercard and Visa increases!
- Get installments and auto-renewals in the right place. Make sure your next season of installments and auto-renewal payments are processed through Adyen, or you’ll be stuck collecting recurring payments on Worldline without support.
What is Uplifter’s plan for Worldline?
Worldline will not be supported by Uplifter beyond October 1, 2024. Adyen has been selected to replace Worldline because of their industry-leading technology, security, payment options, and ease-of-use.
We currently have registration open. If we make the switch from Worldline to Adyen prior to July 15 as suggested, will this disrupt our registration process?
Switching to Adyen will not disrupt your registration process. Apply for your merchant account today. Once your account is verified, you can make the switch at your convenience and at the time of your choosing by making the payment method available on your site (see question: “How do I enable my merchant account on my site after my account is created and verified?” below)
You will receive your grandfather rate as long as you transact by September 30th, 2024.

Once your Adyen account has been verified, navigate to Settings Uplifter Settings Merchant Details. Once there, select your Worldline payment method and:
- Deselect the “Public Payment Method” option to ensure the Worldline payment method is not visible to your members. Then, select your Adyen Credit Card payment method and select the “Public Payment Method” option to ensure your Adyen payment method is visible to members. Click “Save All”.
- Next, navigate to the “Payment Method Groups” Tab and for every payment method group that has Worldline selected, deselect Worldline and select Adyen Credit Card. Click “Save All”.
This will not shut down your Worldline account, it will only prevent users from checking out and updating saved card details with your Worldline account on your Uplifter site. You may choose to temporarily leave your Worldline account open to handle EFTs and possible refunds for transactions that were made on Worldline.

How do I enable my merchant account on my site after my Adyen account is verified?
Once your account has been verified, you will receive email notification from Uplifter. At your convenience, you can make your payment method public by adding it to your payment methods.
If you are a current Worldline customer
Navigate to Settings Uplifter Settings Merchant Details.
Click Save All.
- Next, navigate to the “Payment Method Groups” Tab and for every payment method group that has Worldline selected, deselect Worldline from each payment method group Tab and select Adyen Credit Card. Click “Save All”.

You may choose to temporarily leave your Worldline account open to handle possible refunds and EFTs for transactions that were made on Worldline.
How will I be billed for credit card transactions?
Once your Adyen account is set to public, you will be charged for every transaction processed through your account. Funds will be settled into your bank account, minus the processing fee, 2-business days after they’ve been processed. Instead of receiving a separate invoice, total monthly deducted fees will be displayed on your monthly Uplifter invoice.
Can I access reports and statements and deposit information from Worldline?
Yes. You may choose to temporarily leave your Worldline account open for as long as necessary to access information and to handle possible refunds and EFTs for transactions that were made on Worldline.
How do I access Adyen credit card transaction information and reconciliation information?
We’re integrating Adyen’s payment reconciliation directly into Uplifter – no more logging in to two separate platforms to reconcile payments, saving hours on reconciliation.
Installments and auto-renewing payments
Turn off Worldline payments and turn on Adyen payment processing. All existing invoices where members have saved their card with Worldline will continue to process as long as your Worldline account is still open. If a card is declined, your members will be prompted to re-enter their credit card information with Adyen.
If you would like upcoming Worldline auto renewing payments or installments to process on Adyen, members can update their payment information by following these steps:
- Navigate to the Uplifter site and log in
- Click your name at the top right to enter your My Account page
- On the default page (Account > Account Status tab) click Update Payment Method
- Click Select All Payments at the top left of the payments list
- Use the Select Payment Method drop down (bottom of payments list) to select Credit Card
- Mark the Enter New option (if not already selected)

Change this to Adyen Credit Card. Update the various fields as you see fit, including which Payment Groups this method belongs to, then click Save All.

This helps reduce the 'per transaction' fees of your merchant. Payments that are processed together will share the same Transaction ID in your reports.
