Sanction your fencing tournament with Alberta Fencing using its tournament template: Uplifter copies the template for your organization, then you apply for sanctioning from the new Event Dashboard, confirm the registration categories and pay online.
- The template is copied for you. Uplifter copies the Alberta Fencing Association (AFA) tournament template as a new draft Event Dashboard and gives your organization’s admin access to it.
- Wait for Uplifter’s email before you start. Your draft Event Dashboard is ready only once Uplifter confirms it.
- Your registration categories are already there. The template comes with categories you can edit or delete during the application.
- The application is paired with your Event Dashboard, so the sanctioning status shows on your event.
- Screenshots may show an earlier version of the screens. The steps describe the current screens.
Sanction your event with Alberta Fencing using the tournament template: get a copy of the template, apply for sanctioning from the new Event Dashboard and pay online.

Ask for a copy of the template
Contact Uplifter Support and ask Uplifter to copy the AFA tournament template event for a new tournament. Include your organization’s name, and the full name and email address of the admin who will run the event.

Open your new Event Dashboard
When Uplifter confirms by email that your draft is ready, sign in and select Events → Events on the Admin Dashboard. Open your copy of the AFA tournament template.

Start the sanctioning application
At the bottom of the event’s Dashboard tab, select the option to apply for affiliation, sanctioning or a permit. Choose Alberta Fencing Association Event Sanctioning and select Next. The application opens in a new browser tab.

Complete your event information
Answer the questions in the first section and select Save.

Confirm your registration categories
The second section lists the categories from the template. Select View/Edit to change one, or the bin icon to delete one. When the list is right, select Save.

Finish the application
Complete the last section and select Done to see your cost summary. The total depends on the options you chose.

Pay online
Select Pay Online, read and sign the waiver, then confirm your billing address in the cart, enter your payment details and select Submit & Complete.
Alberta Fencing reviews your application, and its status shows on your Event Dashboard. For help with the template copy, contact Uplifter Support.
