Apply to have your fencing event sanctioned by Alberta Fencing: create or copy your event listing, complete the event information, create your registration categories and prices, add your equipment rental details and pay online.
- Your application also builds your online registration. The registration categories and prices you create become your event’s registration options.
- Alberta Fencing approves your event information. The Alberta Fencing Association (AFA) reviews what you submit.
- Create at least one registration category for each event category you select, primary and additional.

Apply for event sanctioning with the Alberta Fencing Association (AFA): create your event listing, complete each section of the application and pay online.

Start your application
Open Alberta Fencing’s event sanctioning page and select the button to start an application.

Fill in your listing
Fill in your event’s basic information. To reuse an earlier listing, choose Copy from an existing listing or continue an existing application, search for it, then continue the incomplete application or copy it into a new one. Select Save Listing.

Choose a classification
Pick the classification that fits your event, so people can find it in the search, and add your social media links.

Complete your event information
Answer the event information questions for Alberta Fencing to approve, including the event categories, and save the section.

Create your registration categories and prices
Add at least one registration category for each event category you selected, with a name (for example, U20 Men’s Epee) and a price. Save the section when the last one is done.

Add your equipment rental information
Complete the equipment rental section and select Done to see your cost summary. The total depends on the options you chose.

Pay online
Select Pay Online, read and sign the waiver, then confirm your billing address in the cart, enter your payment details and select Submit & Complete.
Registration categories
For each registration category:
- Required: a category name, such as U20 Men’s Epee, and a price. The price name fills in automatically.
- Optional: a description, a maximum number of registrations, and age or gender restrictions.
- To add another, add a new category, or copy an existing one with Copy Existing Registration Category and change what’s different.
Alberta Fencing reviews your application and lets you know if anything is missing. If something doesn’t work, contact Uplifter Support.
