Officials apply for their Alberta Equestrian Federation (AEF) provincial officials membership on horsereg. An AEF admin verifies the exam result and judging experience, sets two attributes to Yes, and the membership is issued and listed in the officials directory.
- Officials apply online. They buy the AEF provincial officials membership at horsereg.com/#!/memberships/aef-provincial-officials.
- AEF is notified of each application. The membership isn’t issued until every requirement is complete.
- Two requirements need an AEF admin. An admin confirms that the official passed the discipline exam and has judging experience, then sets both attributes to Yes.
- Issued officials show in the directory. Once the last requirement is complete, the membership is issued and the official appears in the AEF provincial officials directory.
- Screenshots may show an earlier version of the screens. The steps describe the current screens.
Review and approve an Alberta Equestrian Federation (AEF) officials application by checking its requirements and setting the two AEF-verified attributes to Yes.
-
Open the application
Select the link in the notification email, or on the Admin Dashboard select Memberships → Individual Memberships, search for the official and open the membership’s Membership Details.
-
Check the requirements
Look at the membership requirements. Two are usually still missing, because only an AEF admin can complete them.
-
Verify the official
Confirm that the official passed the discipline exam with 80% or higher, and check their proof of judging experience.
-
Open the AEF officials attributes
Scroll to Attributes & Records and find the AEF Officials - Requirements & Additional Information group.
-
Set both attributes to Yes
Select Edit on Has passed the discipline exam (passing grade of 80% or higher) and choose Yes. Do the same for Proof of judging experience - Verified by AEF.
-
Check the result
When the last requirement is complete, the membership is issued and the official appears in the AEF provincial officials directory.
If a requirement is still missing
If the official hasn’t met a requirement, leave the attribute unchanged and tell the official what’s missing. The membership stays incomplete until every requirement is met. See Association membership statuses explained.
For other membership tasks, see Alberta Equestrian: manage memberships, profiles and reports as an admin.
