The rules built into the Uplifter Mobile App for who can message whom, how rooms work and what deleting your account removes.
- Communication in the app is invite-only. Members can't find or join a room they weren't invited to.
- Anyone added to a room can read the messages sent before they joined.
- Deleting your account doesn't delete the records your organization holds.
The Uplifter Mobile App builds its messaging rules into the product rather than leaving each club to enforce them. Family access has its own rules, covered separately.
Who can message whom
- Authorized organizers only — only authorized organizers or delegated source systems create rooms and announcements. Invited adults choose whether to join and take part after accepting.
- Recipients stay private — announcement recipients never see one another.
- Permission-scoped audiences — organizers reach only the people and groups their current explicit permissions cover. To build an audience they may see a participant's name and organization, club or event context, but not contact information, date of birth or unrelated affiliations.
How rooms work
- History is visible on joining — when you're added to a room and open it, you can read what was sent before you arrived. Treat everything in a room as visible to anyone added later.
- Access stays with the room — room access and moderation are scoped to the room by default. An organizer sees messages only in the rooms they created, and an organization administrator doesn't automatically get into private coach-to-guardian or club-created rooms.
- Closing is permanent — closing or archiving a room can't be undone. Its history is kept.
What only you can see
Athlete mode lets an adult connect their own fitness sources, such as Strava, and see their season totals. Only they can see that data, and it needs the same 18+ confirmation as group chat.
What deleting your account removes
Deleting your account removes your mobile login and its app data: linked sign-in identities, devices, permissions and connected-service data. Messages written in the app are removed or anonymized, subject to the disclosed safety or legal retention exception. Athlete, membership and registration records kept by your organization aren't deleted, so contact that organization about them.
If an inbox is reaching someone it shouldn't, email support@uplifterinc.com. Access in the app follows what's recorded on your club or Enterprise platform, so that's where it gets fixed.
