Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes and PDF membership cards: what members get, where they find them and how they stay current.
- Available when Membership is active on your organization's account and Uplifter has switched digital cards on for your site — ask your Uplifter account manager to add it.
- Each membership organization has one card design, so every membership type it sells shares the same pass.
- An Apple Wallet pass updates itself when the membership changes. A PDF card doesn't, and is regenerated after a change.
- PDF cards and certificates are designed by Uplifter on request, to be quoted separately.
Members can carry their association membership as an Apple Wallet or Google Wallet pass, or as a PDF card they print or save. Cards are set up per membership organization on the Enterprise Portal.
What members get
- A wallet pass — an Apple Wallet or Google Wallet card carrying your organization's logo and a font colour you choose. Uplifter links the design to your membership organization.
- A PDF card — a letter-size page or a wallet-size card for printing, showing details such as the member's name, membership dates and member number. Where your organization uses Certification Tracking, a card can also show a certification level.
Where members find their card
- In their email — the membership confirmation email can carry Apple Wallet and Google Wallet buttons, so a member adds the pass as soon as the membership issues.
- In their account — the membership details on their memberships and certifications page, where they can download the card at any time.
- From their club — a club administrator can download an affiliated member's card from the club dashboard, to print or email it.
To confirm someone's membership without seeing their card, officials and event staff can use a public membership lookup page instead.
How cards stay current
The Apple Wallet pass regenerates on its own whenever anything changes on the membership, with no action from your staff. A PDF card shows the membership as it was when the card was generated, so after a change, such as a new certification level, regenerate it from the membership organization dashboard under Mass Edit & Printing.
Cards are generated in the background after a membership issues, so a new card can take a moment to appear. If one stays at generating, contact Uplifter support and we'll restart it. Club 2.0 clubs have their own setup; see the Club 2.0 documentation.
