Sell association memberships on the Enterprise Portal, annual or 365-day, with one profile per person and each body paid directly at checkout.
- Available when Membership Manager is active on your organization's account — ask your Uplifter account manager to add it.
- Uplifter sets up your membership types, prices, renewal rules and emails, and rolls them forward each season.
- Only a 365-day membership on recurring billing renews and bills on its own, and recurring billing is an add-on.
- A renewal charges the base price: discounts and coupons from the first purchase don't carry over.

Annual or 365-day
Each membership runs on one of two clocks:
- Annual — valid for a season or calendar year you set, with the same dates for everyone. Moving your whole membership base into the next season is done with Uplifter, on a date you agree.
- 365-day — valid for 365 days from the day it's bought, and renewed through the same registration. It suits memberships people join all year round.
Either way, members renew themselves online. An early renewal window lets someone renew before expiry without losing any days, and the grace period after expiry can be set to any length, including none. Single-event and day licences run on the same mechanism with a shorter window.
What a membership carries
- One profile, one member ID — a person can be an athlete, a coach and an official at once, and each role has its own rules.
- Waivers and questions — waivers are signed and kept for the membership period, and answers can be written back to the profile so they prefill next season.
- Family memberships — several people in a household under one membership.
- Cards — a membership card members can use. See Digital membership cards.
- Lookup page — a public page showing whether someone holds an issued membership. One that isn't issued yet reads as no membership.
- English and French — landing pages, agreements and every templated email.
When several bodies are involved
One purchase can issue club, provincial and national memberships together: a provincial membership can confer the national one, for example. With direct affiliation payments, one checkout makes a separate transaction for each body, so each is paid straight into its own merchant account at the time of purchase, with nothing to pay out later. Each body refunds only its own part. A payment group lets a member register now and their club pay later.
Each body that takes money needs its own merchant account. You apply for it, and Uplifter connects it once the processor approves. A membership that waits on a date, an uploaded document or an approval runs on Certification Tracking.
Status is what members ask about most. Moving a membership between active, pending and expired can send emails or clear requirements, so check what each status means before you change one.
