The requirements on Wrestling Canada memberships, how each one is completed, and how an admin approves citizenship and Vulnerable Sector Checks, imports Locker training records and adds a Respect in Sport record.
- Each requirement is completed in one of four ways: an admin reviews a document and sets an attribute, training records are imported, a bulk attribute upload sets it, or it completes on its own from survey answers or Sterling BackCheck.
- Proof of Citizenship Approved is mandatory for the membership to be issued. The Canadian Citizenship Tracker and Non-Canadian Residency Status Tracker are for information only and don’t change the membership status.
- Training and checks count only inside their validity period. Each is valid for a set number of years, until the last day of the season, and must be completed after a January 1 cut-off date.
- An imported course record completes a requirement on its own when its completion date meets the requirement.
- Screenshots may show an earlier version of the screens. The steps describe the current screens.
Manage the requirements on Wrestling Canada memberships as an admin: know how each one is completed, approve citizenship and Vulnerable Sector Checks (VSC), and import training records.
-
Find pending members
On the Admin Dashboard, select Memberships → Individual Memberships and filter on the Pending Requirements status.
-
Open the membership
Open the member’s Membership Details. The requirements and their status are listed there.
-
Review the document
For citizenship, scroll to the Photo Identification section and review what the member submitted. For a VSC, open the check the member uploaded during registration.
-
Update the attribute
If the document meets Wrestling Canada’s requirements, scroll to Attributes & Records. In the WCL Citizenship & Screening sub-section, select Edit and set Proof of Citizenship Approved or VSC Approved to YES. Save.
-
Check the requirement
The requirement shows as Complete. When every requirement is met, the membership is issued.
Which requirements apply
- Citizenship Review: no expiry. An admin reviews the document and sets Proof of Citizenship Approved. The tracker shown depends on the member’s Citizenship Status value.
- Safe Sport Training: Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) Safe Sport, from the Locker, or Respect in Sport. Valid four years. Completed by importing course records.
- PTSO Good Standing Approved: annual. Set by a bulk attribute upload from a CSV file, for members in good standing with their provincial or territorial sport organization (PTSO).
- Safe Sport Annual Screening Disclosure: annual. Completes on its own from the screening questions.
- E-PIC Criminal Check: valid three years. Completes on its own through Sterling BackCheck.
- Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC): no expiry. An admin reviews the check and sets VSC Approved.
- Making Headway Training (Locker): valid four years. Completed by importing course records.
- Competition-Development Certification: valid three years. The validation method is still being set up.
- MED Evaluation (Locker): Make Ethical Decisions, valid four years. Completed by importing course records.
Import Locker training records in bulk
Use this for CAC Safe Sport (module 14416), Making Headway (module 5041) and MED Evaluation (module 8601).
-
Download the Locker report
Sign in to your Locker admin account and open Report Tools. Choose the report type, such as Multi-sport, and filter by module or date if needed. On the Detail tab, select Download. The report needs the Module ID, NCCP Number and Last Achievement Date columns.
-
Open Import Course Records
On the Admin Dashboard, select Events → Events, then Import Course Records at the top of the page.
-
Choose the group and source
Choose the course type group and the system the records come from. If you’re not sure which to pick, contact Uplifter Support.
-
Fill in the template
Download the example template. For each person, enter the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) number as the unique person ID, the module ID as the external course type ID, and the completion date. Leave the evaluation passed and additional notes columns blank.
-
Upload the CSV
Save the file as CSV and upload it. Each row creates a passed course record, and the requirement turns Complete when the date meets it.
Add Respect in Sport records
For one member, open their profile from Users and scroll to Registrations. Register the member for Respect in Sport (Imported), choose the Imported category, enter the Earn/Completion Date and select Register. This creates a course record, and the requirement completes if the date meets the current season’s requirement. For many members, import them as above, with module ID RIS-001.
Requirements that complete on their own
- Safe Sport Annual Screening Disclosure turns Complete when the member answers NO to every screening question. One YES answer leaves it Incomplete.
- E-PIC Criminal Check is ordered through Sterling BackCheck when the member has no valid check on file. If the member submits their own copy instead, Wrestling Canada records it manually; see Manage background checks.
