The Uplifter mobile app brings supported membership, license and registration records from participating organizations into one place. It also gives authorized clubs and associations a direct way to communicate with eligible participants. This article covers signing in, what each role can do, how family access works, and what to expect during the pilot.
Who this is for: Members and families, club administrators and association administrators at organizations taking part in the Uplifter mobile app pilot.
Where in Uplifter: The Uplifter mobile app, installed using the link supplied by your club or association.
What this is: An introduction to the app’s currently available member and organizer features.
The Uplifter mobile app gathers supported records supplied by participating associations and clubs. The app displays those records; the organization’s registration platform remains the system where the underlying participant, membership and registration records are created and maintained.
Read the section that matches your role. You do not need the whole article to get started.
You may see fewer options than this article describes. Organizer tools appear only when a participating organization has synchronized the required organizer permissions for your verified account. Sections such as progress and attendance appear only when that information is supplied by the organization.
This is a pilot, so features are still being added and some screens may change.
Get the app and sign in
You can create your Uplifter mobile login the first time you sign in. Use a verified email address that a participating organization already holds for you. Parents and guardians sign in as themselves; synchronized dependents they are authorized to manage appear as separate profiles.
Some adult-only features, including group chat and connected fitness sources, require the account holder to accept the current terms and confirm they are 18 or older. The app does not determine this from an athlete record’s date of birth.
- Install the app using the link supplied by your club or association.
-
Sign in with the email address your participating organization already holds for you. You can use a six-digit email code or an available social sign-in option.
- If you administer an enabled organization or club, use the verified email associated with your authorized source-platform account so your organizer access can be matched.
- If the app finds an unclaimed participant record matching your verified email, tap This is me to confirm the correct record.
- Review Home. Supported memberships and registrations synchronized for the selected profile are grouped by organization.
Not seeing all your supported records? Open Settings using the gear icon and add another email address your club may hold for you. A newly added address must be verified before it can match records. Some matches may still require you to confirm the correct participant profile.
What members and families get
- Household profile switching. One adult account can switch among the participant profiles it is authorized to manage, without sharing credentials or signing out.
- Supported records in one place. Synchronized club, provincial and national memberships, licenses and registrations are grouped by the organization that supplied them.
- Membership details. Open a membership to see its status and validity information. Where the organization supplies one, a digital card, pass or QR code is also available.
- Each athlete’s own view. Progress, attendance, active memberships and registrations appear by profile when the source organization supplies that data.
- An upcoming schedule. The Calendar brings synchronized sessions and events into a swipeable week strip and scrollable agenda.
- Account summaries. View passes, athletes, registrations, orders and billing information. Where available, a source link opens the organization’s registration portal to make changes.
- Your preferred setup. Choose a light or dark theme, English or French, and enable supported device notifications.
How family access works
One login covers the whole household. You sign in as yourself and switch between your own profile and each child you are authorized to manage. Each participant has their own separate announcement inbox, and your permission is checked every time you open one.
- One login, several profiles. You sign in once and switch between your own profile and each child you are authorized to manage. There is no second login, no signing out, and no shared credentials.
- Each child has their own inbox. An announcement addressed to one child appears only in that child’s inbox — not in yours, and not in a sibling’s.
- Your permission is checked every time. Every request to open an inbox is verified against your active guardian or manager permission on the organization’s records. It is not granted once at sign-in and then assumed.
- Your own conversations stay yours. Adult group chats stay with your own profile and are hidden while you are viewing a child’s announcement inbox.
- Organizers can see a name, not an inbox. A coach or organizer can see a child’s name in the audience builder only when that child belongs to a membership, club or event population they are authorized to reach. They see the name and the relevant club or event context — not an email address, date of birth, contact details or unrelated affiliations. Organizer access never opens a participant’s inbox.
- Minors are not placed in group chats. If a child is part of an audience being messaged, their authorized adult guardian is invited into the room instead. Other room members see the adult participants, not the child roster.
Shared and separated families. Access in the app reflects the access recorded for each adult on your club or Enterprise platform — the app does not manage it separately. If your family needs a particular arrangement, or an inbox is reaching someone it should not, contact support@uplifterinc.com so the accounts on the club or Enterprise platform can be set accordingly. The app will follow whatever is set there.
What club and association administrators get
- An audience calculated from authorized records. Choose an enabled organization and an audience you are permitted to reach, such as authorized membership, club or event groups, or specific people. Eligibility comes from synchronized source records and explicit permissions.
- Confirmation before sending or creating. Preview and refine the audience before creating a room or sending an announcement.
- Private announcements. Classify and prioritize announcements delivered to each recipient’s private in-app inbox. Recipients do not see one another.
- Invite-only group chat. Create a room for an authorized club, membership or event audience. A room contains its own chat history and activities; one-way announcements remain separate.
- Coordination inside a room. Add Sign-up, Poll or RSVP activities for room members.
- A record of announcements. Review Sent Messages, including the original delivered count and the names of recipients still covered by your current organizer access.
The app at a glance
| Where to look | What you do here | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Home | See supported memberships and registrations, and switch among participant profiles you are authorized to manage. | Progress and attendance appear only when supplied. Organizer entry points appear only for accounts with active organizer access. |
| Calendar | View synchronized sessions and events in a swipeable week strip and scrollable agenda. | Only events supplied or created within your authorized scope appear. |
| Messages | Read private announcements and accepted adult group chats in one area. | Profile chips let an authorized guardian view each dependent’s separate announcement inbox. Adult group chats remain under the signed-in adult’s own profile. |
| Account | View passes, athletes, registrations, orders and billing summaries, and open Settings with the gear icon. | To add a child or change a participant profile, use the account on your organization’s registration portal. The mobile app does not create or edit source participant profiles. |
| Organizer mode | Create group chat rooms, send announcements and review Sent Messages within your authorized scope. | Switch in from Settings and return to participant view from the banner at the top of the screen. |
Safety and privacy
Communication in the app is invite-only and permission-scoped. These rules are built into the product rather than left to each club to enforce. Family access has its own rules — see How family access works above.
- A room’s history is visible when you join it. When you are added to a room and open it, you can read the messages sent in that room before you joined. Organizers should treat everything in a room as visible to anyone later added to it.
- Only authorized organizers or delegated source systems can create rooms and announcements. Invited adults choose whether to join a room and can participate after accepting. Members cannot discover or add themselves to rooms they were not invited to.
- Announcement recipients never see one another.
- Organizers can address only the people and groups covered by their current explicit permissions. When needed to build an authorized audience, an organizer may see a participant’s name and relevant organization, club or event context — but not contact information, date of birth or unrelated affiliations.
- Room access and moderation are room-scoped by default. An organization administrator does not automatically inherit access to private coach-to-guardian or club-created rooms.
- Deleting your account removes your mobile login and associated app data, including linked sign-in identities, devices, permissions and connected-service data. App-authored messages are removed or anonymized, subject to the disclosed safety or legal retention exception. Athlete, membership and registration records retained by the source organization are not deleted; contact that organization about those records.
