Set up your freestyle club's registration process on your Uplifter Snow Club Dashboard for the season: registration page, programs, membership rules, forms and waivers, then test it and submit it to Uplifter for review.
- Start at least three weeks before registration opens. Uplifter’s review takes two to five business days after you submit.
- Members register at three levels in one process: your club program, their membership with your provincial or territorial sport organization (PTSO) and their Freestyle Canada membership. Their membership fees and PTSO or Freestyle Canada agreements are already included, so leave them out of your setup.
- You need an active payment processor account to receive your program fees directly. To set one up, contact Uplifter Support.
- Every club program needs a membership registration rule. The rule names the PTSO memberships a participant must hold. Your club is responsible for requiring the right ones.
- Screenshots may show an earlier version of the screens. The steps describe the current screens.
Set up your club registration process on your Uplifter Snow Club Dashboard so your athletes, coaches, officials and other members can register for your programs.
-
Open your Club Dashboard
In the Admin Dashboard, select Clubs → Clubs/Teams and open this season’s dashboard, then select Configuration. Your dashboard may already exist for the season; if it’s still being configured, carry on from here. To reuse last season’s setup, open last season’s dashboard and select Clone registration process at the top. Starting from scratch? See Set up your Club Dashboard and club programs.
-
Complete the required setup
Each page under Required Setup needs a check mark. In Date & Location, set when registration opens and closes and when your season starts and ends. In Financials, check your payment processor account, processing fees and taxes. Add your club’s contact details in Contact Information: members see them on your registration page. In Registration Page, write the description members see before they register, add your logo and write the confirmation email. Choose your Listing Categories.
-
Create your registration categories
In Registration Categories, add one category for each program. Each needs at least a name and a price. You can add a description and age limits. Don’t include PTSO or Freestyle Canada membership fees in your prices: they’re added to the cart for you. If your club accepts offline payment for some registrations, give those members a coupon code so they can complete their cart.
-
Add membership registration rules
In Registration Rules, choose one rule for all categories, or a rule per category (a category rule overrides the rule for all). Select Add Rule, choose Membership, then pick your PTSO under Membership Organization. Under Membership Type, select every membership that qualifies for the category, then select Save. To change a rule later, use Actions.
-
Add forms and waivers (optional)
Add a registration form only for information specific to your programs. Add a waiver only for your club’s own agreements, such as a liability waiver, registration terms or a refund policy. Each form or waiver can apply to all categories or to some. See what to leave out below.
-
Test your registration
Start with an empty cart and register for each program, but stop before Submit and Complete. If you complete a test by mistake, cancel that registration. See Test your registration before going live.
-
Submit for review
Select Submit for review at the top right of Configuration, check each page of the Configuration Agreement and submit. Submitting signs the agreement, which sums up your setup and the fees on your registrations. Uplifter reviews it and emails you when your setup is approved.
Registration rules for freestyle
- Rules are mandatory for every club program and activity.
- A rule names the PTSO membership each participant must hold or buy. The Freestyle Canada membership comes with it.
- List every membership you accept for the category. You can deselect any that don’t apply.
- Not sure which memberships to require? Ask your regional development agent or your PTSO. If your PTSO isn’t listed under Membership Organization, contact Uplifter Support.
What to leave out
- Personal details: date of birth, email, phone number and emergency contact are already collected when members create their account, and you can see them on your dashboard. Your forms should only ask what’s specific to your programs.
- PTSO and Freestyle Canada agreements: the information-sharing authorization, the Freestyle Canada and PTSO codes of ethics, the anti-doping policy and the image-use authorization are already in the membership process. Add only your club’s own agreements.
Ways to organize your programs
A registration process can cover one activity, one season or one type of program, with a category for each option. For example:
- One season: a winter season with a recreational category and a competitive category.
- One program type: an annual competitive program with a freestyle category and a moguls category.
Before you submit
- Are your registration dates right?
- Does your confirmation email say what members need to know?
- Will your registration page help members understand how to register?
- Is each category’s price right?
- Does each category require the right memberships?
Your PTSO can help with membership rules. For technical help, contact Uplifter Support.
