Where a freestyle club starts on Uplifter Snow each season: apply for club sanctioning, set up and test your registration process, submit it for review, then follow your members' requirements. Includes answers on offline payments, instalments, donations and running several programs.
- Every freestyle club applies for club sanctioning each year. Your provincial or territorial sport organization (PTSO) and Freestyle Canada, the national sport organization (NSO), both approve the application.
- Uplifter contacts your club once both approve. You then get what you need to set up your registration process for the season.
- Members register at three levels in one process: your club program, their PTSO membership and their Freestyle Canada membership.
- Uplifter reviews your setup before registration opens. Submit it for review when it’s ready. Uplifter approves it in two to five business days.
Get your freestyle club ready for the season on Uplifter Snow (upliftersnow.com): apply for sanctioning, set up your registration process, go live, then follow your members.
-
Apply for club sanctioning
Complete your club’s sanctioning application on Uplifter Snow, or open the renewal link your PTSO sent you. See Freestyle Canada: apply for club sanctioning.
-
Wait for approval
Your PTSO and Freestyle Canada review your application. Once both approve it, Uplifter contacts your club with the details for setting up your season.
-
Set up your registration process
On your Club Dashboard, set your dates, registration page, programs (registration categories), membership rules, forms and waivers. See Freestyle Canada: set up your club registration process.
-
Test and submit for review
Register for each program as a member would, then select Submit for review. Uplifter checks your setup and approves your club. See Submit your Club Dashboard for review and go live.
-
Follow your members
Once registration is open, check that your coaches, officials and athletes have completed their membership requirements. Members update their own details: see Freestyle Canada: access your profile and update your membership.
Check your members’ requirements
Coach, official and athlete memberships are issued only once every requirement is complete. Your Club Dashboard has an affiliation tab that lists your club’s members. Sort the list by membership type or status to see who still has requirements to complete. Your PTSO manages the requirements themselves, such as background checks and Safe Sport training: see Freestyle Canada: manage membership requirements.
Offline payments
Some clubs collect club or Freestyle membership fees outside Uplifter Snow. Only clubs that Freestyle Canada has pre-approved can record those payments. Once Freestyle Canada approves your club, you receive a link to submit your offline payment request. Ask Freestyle Canada whether your club is eligible.
Instalments
You can let members pay your club’s fees in several payments. Uplifter sets up the instalments for you.
- Only your club’s own fees can be split. PTSO and NSO membership fees are paid in full at checkout.
- Offer two categories per program: one paid in full and one paid in instalments.
- Choose a schedule: from each member’s purchase date (for example, 30 and 60 days after they register), or on fixed dates for everyone. With fixed dates, someone who registers after a payment date isn’t charged for that payment.
- The first instalment is charged at checkout. Each later instalment is the same amount.
- Send Uplifter the details: the name of each category, the number of instalments and the type of schedule. Contact Uplifter Support to ask about the setup fee and get started.
For the details, see Offer monthly payment plans (instalments).
Donation campaigns
You can add a donation campaign to your registration process, so people can give when they register. You can also share the donation link anywhere. Uplifter sets up the campaign: contact Uplifter Support. The setup fee is usually $80 plus applicable taxes. Send:
- Campaign name: the title of your donation campaign.
- Description: a short text on why you’re raising money and what the donations will pay for.
- Logo: a JPEG or PNG image for your campaign.
- Donor name: whether you want to collect the donor’s name.
- Suggested amounts: for example $5, $10, $50 and $100. Donors can still enter their own amount.
Many programs, one registration link
You can run as many Club Dashboards as you need, for example by season, mountain or type of activity. Once they’re live, group them into a club season to share one registration link. People choose one or more programs from that link. See Combine Club Dashboards into a club season.
