Course types, levels, evaluations and attendance for the Certification Tracking System (CTS).
- Available on plans that include Certification Tracking — if you don't see it, ask your Uplifter contact.
- Each event sets how its course completes: automatically on the course end date, when you enter attendance, or when you enter an evaluation. Apart from attendance, completions are checked every six hours, so they're never instant.
- When a member finishes the last requirement in a pathway, their certification is issued automatically and they're sent the certification email, with any PDF certificates attached.
- Certifications themselves are set up under Memberships → Certification Organizations. This menu is where you manage course completions and evaluations.
Manage course completions and evaluations in the Certification Tracking System (CTS). Open Certifications in the left menu to reach its two pages.
What's under Certifications
- Education Management — the course types and certification levels set up for your organization, on the Type and Level tabs. A course type's Integrations column shows the ID an outside system uses for it, which an import needs. Uplifter loads your course types; to add or change one, ask your Uplifter contact.
- Course Evaluations & Attendance Tracking — the course records for the events you evaluate or facilitate. Select Add Evaluation on a record to give a pass or fail, or Mark Attendance to mark a whole event at once.
Where course records come from
A course record is created when someone registers in an event registration category that carries a course type. You link the course type on the event's own dashboard, under Configuration → Education Management. It shares this menu's name but it's a different screen, and Uplifter switches it on for your organization first. The same screen sets how the course completes for that event: automatically on the course end date, by entering attendance manually, or by entering an evaluation manually.
Completions from outside Uplifter come in by CSV from Events → Import Course Records, or through a learning system such as Canvas where Uplifter has connected one. Imported records arrive as passed and update any membership requirement they meet.
Where to look instead
Background checks aren't in this menu. Open the member's membership and select How to Complete on the requirement, or use the Background Checks section of their profile. Anything a member still owes holds their membership at Pending Requirements.
Once an evaluation is saved, only its Standard - Comments field can be edited, so check the grade and completion date first. If a coach says a certification isn't showing, allow six hours, then compare the Course Records section of their profile with the requirements on their membership.
