Charities and the time-bound donation campaigns tied to them, for collecting donations through your registration and membership processes.
- Fundraisers appears only when it's active on your account. If you don't see it, ask your Uplifter contact.
- A charity is what your organization uses to collect funds. A donation campaign always belongs to one charity.
- Uplifter sets up each charity and campaign. Ask your Onboarding Specialist or Uplifter Support; some configuration is needed first.
- Official donation receipts are issued by the charity. When they’re set up, the Uplifter system generates each one and emails it to the donor separately. A transaction receipt in Transaction History is not an official donation receipt.

What's under Fundraisers
- Charities — the charities your organization collects funds for. Each one is paired with the flow where people donate: a Club Dashboard, an Event Dashboard or a membership process.
- Donation Campaigns — fundraising drives, each tied to one charity. A campaign runs between set dates and can have its own landing page.
How a charity and its campaigns fit together
Think of the charity as the account the money is raised for, and each campaign as one drive for it, such as a spring appeal or a year-end drive. One charity can have several campaigns over time. Because campaigns are time-bound, a new drive is usually a new campaign rather than an edit to an old one.
Getting one set up
Charities and campaigns aren't self-serve. Contact your Onboarding Specialist, or Uplifter Support if you're already live, and tell them:
- The charity — its legal name, address and charity registration number.
- Where people will donate — which Club Dashboard, Event Dashboard or membership process.
- The campaign — its name, start and end dates, and whether it needs its own landing page.
- Tax receipts — whether donors should receive official donation receipts for income tax purposes.
Donation tax receipts
Official donation receipts for income tax purposes are issued by the charity. When they’re set up, the Uplifter system generates each receipt and emails it to the donor, separately from the transaction receipt. Setting them up needs the charity’s completed agent authorization form, plus its logo, its name and address, its charity registration number and an authorized signature. The transaction receipt a donor sees in Transaction History is not an official donation receipt.
Reports
The Donations report lists each donor's name, tax receipt, transaction receipt, purchase time and amount. The Fundraisers report adds profile details. Charities use them to re-issue tax receipts and during an audit.
