Set up the planned program content (PPC) categories and element fields, and the music upload and duration fields, that skaters fill in when they register for a Skate Canada competition on Club 1.0.
- PPC fields are drop-downs. Skaters pick their elements from lists instead of needing their planned program content (PPC) codes.
- The PPC category level sets how many element fields show. A skater who picks "Singles Short - 7" sees seven element fields.
- Build these once and reuse them every competition. Tag categories and category levels, not seasons, so the fields show for every competition.
- Every field here is an Invoice Item Field, created in Settings → Global Settings → Custom Fields.
To set up PPC and music fields on Club 1.0, create a PPC category for each discipline with a level for each program length, then create element fields, music upload fields and music duration fields tagged to those levels.
-
Create a PPC category for each discipline
Select Settings → Categories and add Singles PPC, Ice Dance PPC, Pair PPC and Synchro PPC.
-
Add the PPC category levels
In each PPC category, add a level for each program and field count, named discipline, program, then count. For example, Singles PPC has Singles Short - 6, Singles Short - 7, and Singles Free - 7 through Singles Free - 13.
-
Create the element fields
Select Settings → Global Settings → Custom Fields and add an Invoice Item Field named "Singles Element 1". Under Link To, tag every Singles PPC level whose count is at least the element number. Repeat up to Singles Element 13, then for each other discipline.
-
Create the music upload fields
Add an Invoice Item Field with the File Upload type for each discipline and program, such as "Short Singles Music Upload" and "Free Singles Music Upload". Tag the PPC levels for that program: the short field gets Singles Short - 6 and Singles Short - 7.
-
Create the music duration fields
For each music upload field, add a Freeform Text field with the same tags. Set the minimum and maximum length to 4 characters, so skaters enter M:SS. Say so in the name or Help Text.
-
Add any other competition fields
For example, a "Team Name" field for synchro: tag the Synchro category, with no season tag, so it shows for every synchro event.
Which levels each element field gets
- Singles Element 1 to 6: every Singles PPC level.
- Singles Element 7: every level except Singles Short - 6.
- Singles Element 8: every level except Singles Short - 6, Singles Short - 7 and Singles Free - 7.
- Singles Element 10: only Singles Free - 10 to Singles Free - 13.
- At the end you have Singles Element 1 to 13, matching series for Ice Dance and Pair, and a Synchro series.
Skaters see these fields once they add the PPC program to their registration; see Skate Canada: set up a competition on Club 1.0. For help with a field setup, contact Uplifter Support.
