Create a new Skate Canada fee for each Skate Canada season on Club 1.0: a mandatory subscription that applies to participants, uses the Skate Canada season as its duration and registers the membership with Skate Canada.
- Create a new fee every Skate Canada season, which runs September 1 to August 31. You can’t reuse last season’s fee.
- Uplifter adds the fee only to skaters who need a membership. It checks Skate Canada’s database at registration, so you don’t need filters.
- Include the Safe Sport fee in your Skate Canada fee. Everyone registering for Skate Canada programs pays it: skaters, board members, officials and on-ice volunteers. Confirm both prices with Skate Canada each season.
- The fee must apply to participants. Otherwise the Skate Canada options don’t appear.
To create your Skate Canada fee for the season on Club 1.0, add a mandatory subscription that applies to participants, set its duration to the Skate Canada season and mark it to register the membership with Skate Canada.

If the new season isn’t listed yet
The season list comes from Skate Canada. If the new season isn’t there yet, set the Effective Start and End dates to September 1 and August 31 of the season. When the season appears, clear those dates and choose Skate Canada Season instead. The change applies to purchases already made.
More than one fee per season
Some clubs charge different Skate Canada fees, for example when the club covers the cost for CanSkate but not STARSkate. Any setup must meet two rules:
- No gaps: every skater who needs a membership gets a Skate Canada fee.
- No overlaps: no skater ever qualifies for two Skate Canada fees at once.
To split fees, use Link To under Registration Checkout Filters, for example by category. Never filter by season. A skater registering in both a $0 category and a paid one can break a category split, so a simpler choice is often a $0 Skate Canada fee for everyone plus a separate STARSkate fee, or a discount. If your admin fees already cover the Skate Canada cost, create a single $0 Skate Canada fee that applies to everyone.
Parent and tot programs
Both the parent and the child must be insured, and the Skate Canada fee applies only to participants. Create a parent program alongside the tot program, open to ages 18 and up, so the parent registers as a participant too. See Special build resources on Club 1.0.
Once skaters pay the fee, match and submit them; see Skate Canada: match and submit skaters on Club 1.0. Not sure how to set up your fees? Contact Uplifter Support.
