Once Uplifter has built a first version of your speed skating club's Club Dashboard on icereg, check every setup page, test your registration, set up your merchant account and submit the club for review.
- Uplifter builds the first version for you, then approves it. When your club’s Club Dashboard is ready to check, an Uplifter representative contacts you. You review it, test it and submit it. Review and approval take two to five business days, and registration opens on the dates you set.
- Every page under Required Setup needs a check mark before you can submit: Date & Location, Financials, Contact Information, Registration Page, Listing Categories and Registration Categories.
- Leave Speed Skating Canada and provincial or territorial sport organization (PTSO) membership fees out of your prices. Registration rules add the right membership to the cart.
- To collect card payments, your club needs a merchant account. Apply for one before you submit, so payouts can reach your club.
- Screenshots may show an earlier version of the screens. The steps describe the current screens.
Get your speed skating club approved and live on icereg: check the Club Dashboard Uplifter built for you, test it, set up your merchant account and submit it for review.
-
Open your Club Dashboard
On the Admin Dashboard, select Clubs → Clubs/Teams, open your club and select Configuration.
-
Check the listing and dates
In Configuration Overview, check the club name. In Date & Location, enter your season’s start and end dates and when registration opens and closes, and check the club address. Check the age calculation date too: it sets each registrant’s age, and so the categories they see.
-
Check fees and taxes
In Financials, check who pays the processing fees: the member, added to the cart, or your club, taken from your payout. Check the taxes. If either is wrong and you can’t change it, contact Uplifter Support.
-
Check what members see
In Contact Information, check the email, phone number, website and social media links. In Registration Page, check the description, logo and confirmation email. Select View registration page to see the page as members will.
-
Check your programs and rules
In Registration Categories, add or update one category for each program, class or lesson. In Registration Rules, make sure each category asks for the membership that program needs.
-
Add the optional pieces
Add registration forms for extra questions, your club waivers, and a store or Mailchimp if you use them. See the related articles below.
-
Test, then submit
Register once as an adult and once as a junior, then submit the club for review. See Submit your Club Dashboard for review and go live.
Set up your merchant account
Your club needs a merchant account with a payment processor to receive card payments. Payment processors and merchant accounts lists the processors available to your club and how to apply.
Test your registration
Select View registration page and register as an adult and as a junior, using your own profile or Register Someone Else for a test profile. Check that each one sees the right categories, memberships and prices. Start with an empty cart and stop before Submit & Complete. See Test your registration before going live.
Tell your members
When your club is ready to go live, Uplifter sends you the list of your existing members and their account activation link.
- Members with a Speed Skating Canada number already have an account, linked to that number. They activate it and register.
- New members without a Speed Skating Canada number create an account when they register.
For each setup page, see Set up your Club Dashboard and club programs. If something on your dashboard isn’t right, contact Uplifter Support.
