- A partner validation is a check at a point in time, not a live link to the partner's system.
- Every partner connection is re-pointed each season by Uplifter.
- A partner can write only the attributes agreed for that connection. Anything not on the list can't be written.

Connections that share membership information between your association and the partner and federation systems your sport relies on. They run on the Enterprise Portal, and Uplifter sets up and maintains each one.
Checking a partner's membership
Uplifter can fetch a member's status from a partner, such as a national federation, another governing body or a timing provider, into their profile. There it can complete a required attribute on your membership, or satisfy an event's membership rules. The check runs when the member registers. Each check records what the partner said at that moment.
Receiving memberships from a partner
Some partners send memberships in. When a member buys a membership on a partner's site, the matching association membership is created for them in Uplifter, so they don't register twice. Federations can send licences, such as UCI race and technical licences, the same way. A membership created like this has no order in Uplifter, so there's nothing to refund through the cart. The member may be asked to come back to sign waivers or choose a club.

Uplifter has other APIs available on request. Each one is scoped with your organization and needs an agreement before it's set up.
Before a new season
Because each connection is tied to a season's memberships, tell your Uplifter account manager before you open a new season. Uplifter re-points the connection to the new season; without that step it can stop returning current members.
