Match each skater's Uplifter profile with their Skate Canada profile, choose the season and activity tags, and submit them to Skate Canada from the Skate Canada Memberships page on Club 1.0.
- Saving the page submits the skaters. A submission can’t be undone, and Skate Canada invoices your club for each membership.
- You don’t have to submit everyone listed. Many clubs wait until their refund period has passed.
- Work in groups of 20 to 40 skaters, using the filters on the left.
- Registering your skaters with Skate Canada is your club’s responsibility. Invoices show Pending or Submitted under the Skate Canada fee.
To match and submit skaters on Club 1.0, open the Skate Canada Memberships page, pair each skater with their Skate Canada profile, choose the season and activity tags, and save to submit them to Skate Canada.
-
Open the memberships page
Select People → Skate Canada Memberships. Every skater who bought your Skate Canada fee is listed with their name, birthdate and Skate Canada number. Filter by season, category, category level or program.
-
Match each skater
Where a skater shows Select A Matching Contact, choose their Skate Canada profile. For a new skater, choose Create New Skate Canada Member. If a returning skater’s profile isn’t offered, check their Uplifter details, especially their Skate Canada number.
-
Choose the season
In Select A Season For Registration, choose the Skate Canada season. If two seasons are offered, submit the skater once for each.
-
Check the activity tags
In Select Some Options, keep, add or remove tags. They fill in from the skater’s programs and your category sync. At least one tag is required.
-
Check the waiver box, if your section requires it
Select or clear Signed COVID-19 Waiver?.
-
Save to submit
Select Save at the bottom of the page. The selected skaters are submitted to Skate Canada.
-
Check your submissions
Select Reports → Skate Canada Submission Reconciliation, add filters and preview or save the report to see who was submitted, for which season and when.
Match from a skater’s profile
You can also match a skater from People → Participants: select View on the skater, choose their Skate Canada profile in Select a Matching Contact, then select Update. Submitting is still done on the Skate Canada Memberships page.
When the right Skate Canada profile isn’t offered
Skate Canada may hold older or wrong details for the skater. Copy those details from Skate Canada’s member site onto the skater’s Uplifter profile and save. Refresh, match the two profiles in Select a Matching Contact, but don’t submit yet. Then put the skater’s current details back on the Uplifter profile and submit. The submission updates the skater’s record at Skate Canada with the current details.
Activity tags
Tags show what the skater does this season: CanSkate, STARSkate, Podium Pathway, CanPowerSkate, Executive, Official, Program Assistants and N/A. Board members and officials who don’t register for a program can be added to a $0 invoice and given their tag here.
Fix a skater shown in red
A red skater has a duplicate Skate Canada fee. Either the skater paid your fee twice for the same season, or paid it after buying a membership elsewhere. The red box links to the invoice with the extra fee.
-
Open the invoice
Use the link in the red box. Middle-click to open it in a new tab.
-
Remove the extra fee
Delete the extra Skate Canada fee, refund it if needed and post the invoice. See Invoice actions on Club 1.0.
-
Refresh the memberships page
The skater shows normally again and can be submitted, if they haven’t been already.
Mark As Registered
Use Mark As Registered, beside the invoice number in a red box, only when the skater was submitted through Skate Canada’s Members Only site but paid your fee on Uplifter. It records the membership as submitted and keeps the payment. If you’re not sure, contact Uplifter Support first.
COVID-19 waiver
If your section requires a COVID-19 assumption of risk waiver, select Settings → Policies, open or create the waiver and choose the season in Skate Canada Season for COVID-19 Waiver. Skaters who accepted it get Signed COVID-19 Waiver? checked automatically, even if you link the waiver after they registered. Check the box yourself for skaters who signed outside Uplifter. A skater submitted without the box checked must be updated on Skate Canada’s member site. Ask your section office about its waiver rules.
For questions about a skater’s match or submission, contact Uplifter Support.
