Transfers to another person, moves to another category or event, and deferrals to next season are decided by your event or club organizer. Here's how to ask and what they can do.
Must know
- Transfers and deferrals are the organizer’s decision, under their own policy and deadlines. Uplifter Support can’t approve or process one on the organizer’s behalf.
- You can’t transfer, defer or cancel a registration yourself from your account. Ask the organizer.
- Ask as early as you can. Many organizers stop transfers a set number of days before the event.
If you can’t attend, or someone else should take your place, ask the event or club organizer to transfer or defer your registration. They decide whether it’s allowed and make the change for you.
How to ask
Contact the organizer using the details on the registration page or in your confirmation email. Include:
- your name and the email address you registered with
- the event or club, and your category
- what you’re asking for: a transfer to another person (with their name, email and date of birth), a move to another category, or a deferral to next season
What the organizer can do
- Move you to another category in the same event. If the new category costs more, the organizer collects the difference as a separate fee; if it costs less, any refund is their decision.
- Move you to another event by cancelling your registration and registering you again in the other event.
- Give your place to someone else. The organizer explains their process; often the new person registers themselves, sometimes with a code the organizer provides.
- Defer you to next season. Some organizers apply a credit automatically at checkout when you register next season.
