Add a family member to an existing login, or create a new profile and user account for someone new.
- A user account is a login with one email address. A profile is a person, and one account can hold several.
- Uplifter won't create a duplicate of a person who already has a profile. It tells you and offers the existing account instead.
- A new user account needs an organization that can view and manage the person.
Add a family member to someone's login, or create a person and a login for someone who's never used Uplifter. Both start with a search under Users.
-
Search for the person
Go to Users → Profiles and search by full name. People often sign up again with a different email, so a name search finds records an email search misses.
-
Add to an existing account
If the family already has a login, go to Users → User Accounts, open the account and scroll to Profiles. Select Add person, fill in the required fields and save.
-
Or create a new account
If the search finds nothing, select the button for a person you can't find to start a new profile and account.
- Enter the person's details. Gender and date of birth are optional here.
- In Select the organization that can view & manage this person, choose your organization.
- If the email already belongs to an account, you're offered add person and go to their account page. Select it to add the person there instead.
-
Send the activation email
For a new account, open its user account details and send the member an activation email so they can sign in. You can also use the profile straight away for manual registrations.
Adding a person to the wrong account is fixed by moving the profile, not by adding it again. To consolidate or link family accounts, contact support@uplifterinc.com.
