Refund Protect is a complimentary add-on, on by default, that lets members buy extra refund cover for event and club registrations at checkout. It costs your organization nothing, and Uplifter can turn it off at your request.

- It helps members get extra cover for event and club registrations. Members choose it and pay for it at checkout. You keep the original payment, and you sign nothing.
- Refund Protect handles and pays valid claims, not your organization. A member who can’t attend for a covered reason, such as illness or injury, claims directly with Refund Protect.
- The cover has limits. It isn’t available for event sanctioning, club affiliation or membership applications, and it doesn’t cover events you cancel or change.

What members see
At checkout, members see an optional Refundable registration upgrade. Choosing it adds a small fee to the order. Their confirmation email then includes a section on Refund Protect with a link to the claim form.
What it covers
- Event and club registrations, tickets and admissions, including products added on to them in the same order. The cover is for the whole order.
- Personal circumstances that stop someone attending, such as illness, injury, a family emergency or a transport breakdown. Refund Protect’s terms list the covered reasons and the evidence needed.
What it doesn’t cover
- Event sanctioning, club affiliation and membership applications. Refund Protect isn’t offered on these.
- Orders that also contain a standalone store product, a donation or an Administrative Fee. The whole order is then not eligible.
- Anything charged to a payment group. Refund Protect applies only to payments made in the cart.
- Events you cancel or change. Members follow your refund policy.
If you refund an order with Refund Protect
Your refund covers what your organization collected. The Refund Protect fee isn’t part of it. If the fee needs to be returned too, contact Uplifter Support. See Issue a refund.
