Copy an existing event with its categories, rules and financial organization, then set its new dates and edit the copy.
- Cloning carries over your registration categories, registration rules and financial organization.
- Reuse agreements rather than duplicating them. A duplicate adds a second agreement with the same title to the database.
- The clone is a separate dashboard that opens on the registration dates you set in the clone window.
Copy an event you’ve run before, then edit the copy. It’s much faster than starting from scratch with the create event wizard.
-
Open the event to copy
Open Events → Events, then select the gear icon or status button on the event’s row.
-
Start the clone
Select Clone event at the top right of the dashboard.
-
Update the details
In the clone window, update the name, the event dates, and the registration open and close dates for the new event.
-
Choose what carries over
For each item the window lists, pick one:
- Ignore — leave it out of the clone.
- Reuse — keep using the original’s, with its stock and financial data.
- Duplicate — copy it as an independent item. You re-enter its stock.
For agreements, choose Reuse. If the new event is in the same season, clone the membership registration rules too.
-
Save and open the copy
Select Save. The clone doesn’t open by itself: find it in Events → Events and open it to make your edits.
Check the clone’s categories, fees and dates before you submit it for approval. Registration opens on the clone’s own dates, not the original’s.
