What an athletics club admin needs to know about AthleticsReg: how the season is set up, where your club's tools are, which registration option fits your club, how card payments work and how to get help.
- AthleticsReg is set up again every season at each level: Athletics Canada memberships, branch memberships and club registration. Each season’s data stays separate.
- Only your club’s admins can open its Club Dashboard, and a club sees only its own data. Your club’s account owner adds admins.
- Your club picks a registration option. Option A sells your club programs with the memberships. Option B sells the memberships only. Ask your branch which options it offers.
- To collect club fees by card, you need a payment processor account. New clubs are set up with Adyen. Returning clubs can keep Paysafe.
- Screenshots may show an earlier version of the screens. The steps describe the current screens.
This platform guide for clubs explains how AthleticsReg works for an athletics club: who does what, where your tools are, which registration option fits, and how payments and support work.
Who’s who
- Athletics Canada: the national sport organization (NSO). AthleticsReg is Athletics Canada’s online membership and events platform, run on Uplifter.
- Your branch: your provincial or territorial sport organization (PTSO). It approves your club’s affiliation and sets the membership rules.
- Your club: sets up its own Club Dashboard each season and registers its members.
- Uplifter: runs the platform, reviews your Club Dashboard before it goes live and answers technical questions.

Get admin access
Ask your club’s account owner to add you as an administrator. See Add a financial controller or administrator.
-
Open the Admin Dashboard
Sign in to AthleticsReg. If My Pages opens, select Dashboard in the user menu at the top right.
-
Open your Club Dashboard
Select Clubs → Clubs/Teams, then open your club’s dashboard for the season. Each season has its own Club Dashboard.
-
Find your way around the dashboard
The Club Dashboard has five tabs: Dashboard, Configuration, Reports, Registrations and Waitlist. On a small screen, some tabs may sit under a menu icon at the right of the banner.
-
Set up your registration
In Configuration, set up your registration page, programs, membership rules, forms and waivers. Follow Athletics: set up your club registration process.
Where to find things
- Clubs → Clubs/Teams: your Club Dashboard for each season.
- Registrations tab on your Club Dashboard: everyone registered in your club programs.
- Events: events or activities outside your season registration. See When should I use a Club vs. Event Dashboard?
- Financials → Accounting: statements, financial summaries and payouts for your club’s card payments.
- Financials → Coupons: coupon codes for club fees. See Create a coupon code.
- Financials → Refunds: card refunds on your club fees.
- Financials → Payment Groups: your club’s payment groups, for fees paid offline. See Athletics: offline membership fees and payment groups.
Option A or Option B
Each club chooses how its members register. Your branch confirms which options your club can use.
- Option A, memberships and club programs: the member buys their Athletics Canada membership, branch membership and club program in one cart. They pay online by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Visa Debit or Mastercard Debit. The payment is split automatically between Athletics Canada, your branch and your club, into each one’s bank account.
- With Option A, your club needs a payment processor account, and processing fees depend on the monthly payment plan your club picks. To compare the plans and their fees, see Compare blue and green monthly payment plans. Your club can also run events, offer payment by instalments, create coupon codes and sell items in an online store.
- Option B, memberships only: the member buys their Athletics Canada membership and branch membership. Your club’s price is set to $0, so your club pays no processing fees and needs no payment processor account.
- With Option B, members pay by card online, split between Athletics Canada and your branch. If your branch offers it, your club can pay members’ fees offline through a payment group instead. Your club can run events and an online store only if it has a payment processor account. Instalments and coupon codes for club fees aren’t available.
Card payments for your club
- Open an account first. Your club’s payment processor account must be set up and approved before your registration can take card payments. New clubs are set up with Adyen during onboarding. Returning clubs can keep Paysafe; see Set up a Paysafe merchant account.
- Choose who pays the fees. Your club can absorb the card and Uplifter fees, which come out of your deposits, or add them to the member’s cart.
- Follow your money under Financials → Accounting: statements, financial summaries and payouts for club-level card payments.
