Find the people in your organization, fix their details and control who has admin access.
- A user account is a login (one email address); a profile is a person. One account can hold many profiles.
- Merging two profiles can't be undone. Check the date of birth and registration history on both first.
- Name, date of birth and gender live on the profile, and some of them decide which categories a person can register for.
Find the people in your organization, fix their details and control who has admin access. Open Users in the left menu.
What's under Users
- User Accounts — search for a login, see every profile attached to it, help someone who can't sign in, and grant or remove admin access.
- Profiles — find a person, correct their details, move a profile to another account, or merge two records for the same person.
A parent registering three children has one account and four profiles. When someone says their membership is on the wrong person, they mean the profile, not the account.
What you'll do here most
Fix someone's details. Open the profile and correct the name, date of birth or gender. Because some fields drive eligibility, a correction can change what the person is allowed to register for.
Merge duplicates. The same person signing up twice with two email addresses is the most common data problem. Merging brings their history together on one profile.
Give a colleague access. New admins, treasurers and event-day volunteers all get access here, and they shouldn't all get the same level.
Two people with the same name is more common than it sounds. If a search returns two records, compare the date of birth and history before deciding they're the same person.
