Lower a registration category’s price for people who register between two dates.
Must know
- Enter the full price as the category’s price. The discount comes off it during the discount dates.
- Discount dates use your event’s time zone.
- The discount name appears on the receipt, so name it for the registrant.
An early bird discount lowers a category’s price for people who register between two dates. You add it on the category itself.

Open the category
On the Event Dashboard, select Configuration → Registration Categories, then View/Edit on the category. You can also add the discount while you create a new one.

Add a date discount
Under Discounts, choose By Date / Early Bird.

Set the discount
Fill in:
- Discount name — the name shown on the receipt.
- Discount type — a dollar amount or a percentage.
- Amount — how much comes off the price before tax.
- Date from and to — when the discount applies.

Save
Save the category. Anyone who registers between the two dates pays the discounted price.
For example, with a price of $100 and a $25 early bird discount, someone who registers during the discount dates pays $75, and everyone else pays $100.
