If an event registration shows a yellow message saying your account doesn't hold the membership you need, you're signed in to an account without a valid membership. Sign in to your original account, or ask your association to merge your profiles.
Applies to Enterprise
- The yellow message is about the account you’re signed in to. That account doesn’t hold a valid membership. Your membership is almost always on another account you created earlier.
- Don’t buy the membership again. Stop before the cart and fix the account first.
- Don’t create another account. A new account starts empty and adds one more record to merge.
- Your association can merge or move profiles. Its admins merge duplicate profiles, and move a profile from one account to another, themselves. Combining whole family accounts goes to Uplifter Support.
When a registration says you need a membership you already have, you’re signed in to an account that doesn’t hold a valid membership. Sign in to your original account, or ask your association to merge your profiles.
-
Stop before you pay
Don’t add the membership to your cart. Leave the registration.
-
Find your original account
Look for the confirmation email you received when you bought your membership. The address it was sent to is usually the one on your original account.
-
Sign in to that account
Sign out, then sign in with that address. Forgot the password? Select Reset password on the sign-in page. If you can no longer open that email address, only Uplifter Support can move your account to a new one: contact Uplifter Support.
-
Check your membership
In My Pages, open Memberships, Licences & Certifications and check that the membership is there, on the right person.
-
Register again
Open the event. Under Who do you want to register?, select the profile that holds the membership, then continue. The yellow message shouldn’t appear.
-
Can’t find it on any account? Ask your association
Contact your association and ask it to merge your profiles, or to move the profile that holds the membership to the account you use. Give your name, your date of birth and both email addresses.
Still seeing the message?
- Another profile was chosen. On a family account, each person’s membership sits on their own profile. Choose the existing profile, not a new one. For someone with their own account, see Register another person who has their own separate account.
- The event doesn’t accept your membership type. The registration names the memberships that qualify. Ask the organizer which ones it accepts.
- The membership is Expired or Cancelled. An expired membership is last season’s, so buy the next one. A membership in Pending Requirements or Processing already counts.
- You just merged or bought. Eligibility is re-checked automatically at intervals, so a change made a moment ago may not show yet. Try again a little later.
A code such as FC-102?
The yellow message has no error code. A message with a code starting with FC comes from a club site’s FederationConnector membership check; see Membership checkout errors with FederationConnector.
