Set up the Adyen merchant account that moves registration and membership fees to your bank. You start it from your financial account in the Enterprise Portal and complete Adyen's verification page.

- The owner or a financial controller of your financial account does the setup, and must be an authorized representative of your organization. A volunteer can’t complete it.
- Your legal name and bank account name must match exactly. A mismatch is the most common cause of delayed deposits.
- Adyen is for new clubs and organizations. Returning clubs can keep Paysafe. Uplifter turns Adyen on for your organization before you start.
- Finish within 60 days. After that, Uplifter has to set up your payment methods again before you can take payments.
Set up the Adyen merchant account that moves registration and membership fees from your customers to your bank. You start it from your financial account in the Enterprise Portal, then complete Adyen’s verification page.

Open the Adyen setup
Use the link in Uplifter’s onboarding email, or select Financials → Accounting, choose your financial account and currency, then select Adyen → Set up new Adyen account. You need a financial account in Uplifter first.

Begin Adyen verification
Check the legal details already filled in, then select Begin Adyen Verification. Adyen’s page opens in a new browser tab, so allow pop-ups.

Enter your company details
Enter your legal name exactly as it appears on your official documents and your business numbers, then upload a business registration document and a tax document.

Add your decision makers
Add at least one controlling person, one signatory and one director, plus any owners. The same person can hold more than one role. Get their consent before you enter their details.

Connect your bank account
Sign in to your bank through Adyen’s page for an instant check, or enter your account details and upload a bank statement, deposit slip or cheque.

Sign and check your status
Sign the services agreement and the PCI DSS questionnaire. Back in Uplifter, select Refresh Status and wait until it shows Verified. To come back later, select Continue to Adyen on your financial account.

Finalize your setup
Enter your statement descriptor, phone number and address, then select Finalize Setup. Uplifter switches your checkout to Adyen and tells you when you can take payments.
If Adyen needs anything else, your status shows More information required: select Continue to Adyen and add it. Never start a second Adyen account to fix an error; contact Uplifter Support instead.
