Add variables to your confirmation, admin notification and waitlist emails so each one fills in the person's name, category, receipt link and more. Each email type has its own list.
Applies to Enterprise
- A variable is a placeholder. When the email is sent, Uplifter replaces it with that person’s details, such as their first name or receipt link.
-
Braces depend on the email. Registration and membership confirmation emails use single braces, like
{first_name}. Admin notification and waitlist invitation emails use double braces, like{{purchaser_email}}. - Use only the variables listed for that email. A variable from another email’s list won’t fill in.
- Type each variable exactly as shown, braces included. Then send yourself a test registration to check the result before members see it.
- Some variables need Uplifter to set them up. See Variables Uplifter sets up at the end.
Personalization variables let one email template greet every registrant by name and show their own category, receipt and membership details. Pick the email below, then copy its variables into your template.
-
Open the email template
For event and club emails, see Configure notification emails on Event Dashboard. For waitlist invitations, see Set up and manage a waitlist.
-
Add the variables
Copy each variable from the list for that email and paste it where the detail should appear.
-
Save and test
Save the template, then run a test registration with your own email address and check every variable filled in.
