Every membership organization under your organization, plus your sanctioning and certification organizations, the memberships people hold and the settings behind them.
- Available to governing associations with Membership Manager activated. If you don't see the menu, ask your Uplifter contact.
- Only Issued counts as a current membership. A lookup page treats every other status as no membership.
- A paid membership with an unsigned waiver shows Pending Requirements, not Processing, which means paid, signed and awaiting your approval.
- Certification Organizations appears under Memberships only when Certification Tracking is active on your account.
- On membership processes, Uplifter sets who pays the processing fees.

What's under Memberships
- Membership Organizations — all the membership organizations under your organization, each with its own dashboard: Dashboard Home, Metrics, Reports, Queued Items, Mass Edit & Printing and Configuration.
- Sanctioning Organizations — club affiliation and event sanctioning.
- Certification Organizations — the Certification Tracking system's coaching, officiating and athlete certifications, also found under Certifications.
- Individual Memberships and Family Memberships — the memberships people hold. Open one to reach its Membership Details, where you change a status or type under Purchased Groups or delete one that's still Incomplete.
- Lookup Pages — view-only pages where the people you allow can check whether someone holds a current membership. Uplifter creates the page; you choose who can see it.
One membership organization or several
You can host one membership organization and see all its data together on its dashboard, or split your annual memberships into separate membership organizations. Each choice has trade-offs, and Uplifter talks them through with you during onboarding.
Where the everyday work happens
- Approve and update in bulk. On Mass Edit & Printing, filter on Membership Status, tick memberships and change their status together, or generate their cards.
- Chase unsigned waivers. From Membership Organizations, filter on Pending Requirements and select Resend Missing Agreement Emails. Each member gets their own signing link.
- Add one membership by hand. Start from the person's profile under Users, not from this menu (see Manually add a membership or license to a profile). For a whole list, use Import Memberships on the membership organization, once Uplifter has turned it on (see Import memberships in bulk).
How a membership is configured
Each membership organization's Configuration tab mirrors an event's:
- Information to Collect — the questions asked at purchase.
- Membership Requirements — what someone must hold or complete first, such as another membership.
- Agreements to Sign — the waivers and policies attached to the membership.
- Notifications — the purchase confirmation, processing and issued emails. Uplifter sets up expiry and renewal reminders.
- Documents (Cards) — the membership card members download. Uplifter builds the card layout.
- Affiliates Dropdown — the clubs a member picks from when joining.
- Profile widget — the banner members see on their memberships page.
Moving a membership to Issued by hand sends your issued membership email, if you use one. With direct affiliation payments, the national sport organization (NSO) and provincial or territorial sport organization (PTSO) portions are separate orders, and each organization refunds only its own.
